MinMax was proud to participate in this year’s Midwest Transmission Conference (MTC), hosted by Corn Belt Power Cooperative in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The conference brought together Generation & Transmission (G&T) utilities from across the region to exchange ideas, experiences, and emerging practices in transmission operations and asset management.
MinMax had an especially strong presence at this year’s conference: a large majority of the participating utilities are MinMax eSMART users. Over the past decade, MinMax has worked closely with these G&T organizations to help modernize their asset management, inspection, maintenance, and compliance processes through the eSMART platform.
At MTC, MinMax showcased one of eSMART’s newest capabilities—integrating drone-captured imagery directly into the inspection workflow. With a single click, inspectors can associate captured images with assets, initiate preventive inspections, and generate work orders for identified deficiencies.
What previously could require hours of post-flight processing can now be accomplished in seconds, allowing drone inspectors to spend less time manually processing images and more time addressing the conditions identified in the field.
The new capability represents another step in MinMax’s continuing effort to bring practical automation and intelligent technologies into utility asset management while building upon the familiar eSMART workflows utilities already use every day.
