MinMax Attends Eastern Shore Safety Drone Day 2026 at A&N Electric Cooperative

MinMax Technologies was proud to have Billy Lara, MinMax Support Specialist, attend the Eastern Shore Safety Drone Day 2026 hosted by A & N Electric Cooperative in collaboration with Eastern Shore Community College.

The event brought together utility professionals, community members, drone technology experts, and industry vendors for a hands-on educational experience focused on drone safety, utility innovation, and emerging technologies. In addition to serving as a safety-focused drone showcase, the event also celebrated Earth Day and member appreciation activities within the local community.

During the event, Billy had the opportunity to meet with utility representatives and industry professionals, including Virgil Wessells, Lynn Brinkley, and John Taylor, to discuss how utilities are increasingly utilizing drone technology for inspections, data collection, right-of-way management, and substation monitoring. Demonstrations included drones equipped with LiDAR and infrared imaging capabilities, highlighting the growing role drones are playing in modern utility operations.

A major focus of the discussions centered around how drone inspection technology can integrate directly into utility asset management workflows. With the latest enhancements to the MinMax eSMART platform, utilities are now able to import drone videos and SRT files directly into MinMax eSMART, linking inspection footage to assets, inspection workflows, work orders, and maintenance activities. These capabilities help utilities centralize inspection data, improve documentation, and streamline operational processes.
