Microsoft Showcases MinMax by Writing a Case Study on SMART (Jan. 2012)
Weatherford, Tx taps Microsoft SharePoint in cloud for electric Utility Inspections.
"Managing the sensitive operational details and regulatory fine points necessary to operate an electric utility is a tough job. Substations are the linchpins in the delivery of safe, reliable, useable power to the utility's customers. Weatherford turned to MinMax not only because its technology partner had SharePoint expertise, but the firm's CEO Dr. Nand Singh also had unique expertise and experience in power engineering. What emerged was a solution dubbed the Substation Maintenance And Repair Tracking (SMART) application. The new solution enables users to "build" substation inspection and maintenance documentation from a central library of assets and predefined questions based on muliple regulatory guidelines." says Dustin Deel, Assistant Director of technlogy at City of Weatherford.

City of Weatherford Uses SMART Solution to Track Substation Performance (Nov. 2011)
Weatherford, a western suburb of Fort Worth, Texas, U.S., is a family centric community with a tradition of planning for the future. To deliver clean, reliable power to this community requires near-flawless substation performance. Accordingly, substations must be rigorously and routinely inspected. However, as is the case with many small utilities, the cost of using an enterprise level ERP type tool was out of reach for Weatherford Electric.
To implement an economical solution, the business and engineering staff of Weatherford Electric partnered with MinMax Technologies to develop SMART (Substation Maintenance and Repair Tracking). SMART, a cloud-based solution, is an easily configurable program product written on Microsoft's web application platform SharePoint. The user "builds" substations from a central library of assets, pre-defined inspection questions based on USDA, FERC and NERC guidelines

Executive Dashboard for Pharmaceutical
The executives at a local pharmaceutical company were challenged with keeping track of multiple projects in between meetings and travel. In other words, they wanted to see the status of all their projects on the window of their smart phone.
MinMax built an executive dashboard in SharePoint 2007 that enabled the executives to view project status real time and take action in less than 3 clicks. With the ability to control projects the risk of lagging projects and wasted time/money was decreased. It pays to be in the know.

Learn How MinMax is helping Small Municipalities
Have you ever considered how many miles a police car gets driven in a week? It is staggering to consider. Keeping up with a fleet of police vehicles is a huge task and doing it manually is time consuming and error prone. To streamline the process and keep users accountable for maintaining all aspects of police vehicles, MinMax built an automated maintenance tracking system for a local municipality.
In 4 weeks MinMax was able to deliver a solution built on SharePoint 2010 that is extremely popular with the police officers because it is easy to use and makes this portion of their jobs easier. The application will allow users to identify themselves, display a list of previously stored records in a Grid view, and update or add a new record using a Form view. The MinMax team is very proud of this solution and may use it as leverage if they get stopped for speeding.
